    50. Carlos Perez goes medieval on water cooler

Always known as one of baseball's more animated characters during his time, the high-strung southpaw took his frustrations out on an unsuspecting water cooler in the Dodgers dugout one evening. In UFC terms, Perez played the part of Chuck Liddell and the water cooler was Johnny Weir — translation: a one-sided battle.

    49. Dennis Rodman uses his head

When you think of calm, cool and collected, Dennis Rodman is not the first athlete who comes to mind. Exhibit A was one NBA evening when he decided to use his head for more than thinking about what color or hair he'd paint on after the game.

    48. Barry Bonds put in his place

One thing that has rubbed anti-Bonds fans the wrong way is the fact that his current team, the San Francisco Giants, help feed the ego-driven monster by conceding to his every whim (aka his leather recliner by his barricaded locker). It may be as hard to remember as when Barry was actually thin, but his one-time Pirates skipper Jim Leyland reamed into the mercurial Bonds in an extended spring training "shout-out" caught on video.

    47. Sam Wyche digs the Dawg Pound

In a late '80s battle of Ohio between then AFC Central rivals Cleveland and Cincinnati, Bengals head coach Sam Wyche was forced to tale to the public address microphone mid-game in Cincy after the unruly crowd began littering the field with foreign objects (luckily, not actual foreigners). The wily Wyche reprimanded the crowd, but coyly tossed out the line, "You're not in Cleveland." Nice touch, coach.

    46. Pitino loses it on the Celtics' faithful

    BEST DAMN BLOWUPS

  • --> He's been a legend coaching the college kids, but even Rick Pitino has admitted he was a tad too impatient and impulsive when running the Boston Celtics into the ground in the '90s. We bet he'd like to take back one postgame rant — a precursor to the end of his brief, unsuccessful tenure — where he ripped fans some new ones.

    45. Spin The Bottle, a Milton Bradley game

Normally it takes a few incidents to build a reputation as a hothead. Outfielder Milton Bradley could Ebay incidents since he has plenty to spare. This one included Bradly, some fans and a bottle tossed in his direction ... fill in the blanks as you like.

    44. Iron Mike's "friendly invitation"

    BEST DAMN BLOWUPS

--> Nobody ever accused Mike Tyson, a show favorite, of playing with a 52-card deck. And no one would ever want to tell him that to his face, for fear of getting destroyed. After one on his many pre-fight melees, the BadAss boxer issued a lovely challenge to local sportscaster Russ Salzberg, who surprisingly declined the F-bomb laced offer.

    43. Don't mess with Charlie Hustle

He was as hard-nosed a player ever when he played, so why get under the skin of retired baseball legend Pete Rose? Besides, after an off-field shoving incident like this, try to remember that he may have some interesting "connections" from his alleged gambling days.

    42. White Hot Chocolate

    BEST DAMN BLOWUPS

--> One Jason Williams accidentally shot a limo driver, the other threatened a beat reporter to a major beatdown on camera. Note to self: Don't mess with anyone named Jason Williams.

    41. Spit happens

Getting besieged by insults or harassment is one thing, but one umpire was the unfortunate recipient of a spitting headache after future Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar hocked a "loogey" right in the grill of umpire John Hirschbeck through the mask, of course. Yuck.
