Max's illustrious announcing career at Fox began as the voice of Argentine soccer on Fox Sports World. In addition, Max's announcing repertoire includes matches from England Italy, Argentina, European Competitions, the United States and several other international competitions.
More recently, he has taken on the larger role of lead announcer for the channel, which became Fox Soccer Channel in February 2005.
In front of the camera, Bretos can be seen each week on Fox Soccer Report, hosting his own opinionated soccer segment, MAXimum Soccer. Additional on camera work included hosting the highly popular World Cup shows Ticket to Asia and Ticket to Germany.
Most recently, Max has made appearances on Sky Sports in Great Britain, both as a weekly correspondent for American Sports and as an on-air talent for Sky's coverage of the Super Bowl.
Lending to his announcing career are his passions for sports such as soccer, cricket, basketball and Australian Rules Football. Not only is he a spectator and announcer, but an avid rugby player for the Santa Monica Rugby Club.
Outside of the broadcast booth and off the field, Max can be seen flexing his acting muscles in several theater productions at the Two Lights Acting Studios and in his own short film, Aerobic Dreams. And on occasion, he has been known to break out in song.
