SPORT SCIENCE
Hailed by critics as "eye-catching" and "impressive" with "Matrix-like graphics," FSN's eagerly-anticipated original series SPORT SCIENCE makes its debut on Sunday, September 30 at 9 p.m. local.Utilizing the latest technology to put the sports landscape to the test, the premiere of SPORT SCIENCE analyzes athletes who appear to defy gravity in "Human Flight: Who Are the Highest Flyers in Sports?" In this episode, host John Brenkus and his team of scientists break down every aspect of an athlete taking to the air, answering:
Superstars such as Bengals WR Chad Johnson, NFL great Jerry Rice, Clippers guard Cuttino Mobley, Raiders RB Dominic Rhodes, plus jump-out-of-the gym streetball legend Chris "Skywalker" Lowery and a group of "did you see that?" free runners entered the SPORT SCIENCE laboratory to help answer those questions.
The results are astonishing.
The one-hour show breaks down the most complex science into the simplest explanations, making for a unique television experience that promises to keep sports fans on the edge of their seats wondering what they'll learn next. New episodes air every Sunday night at 9 p.m..
Up next: On Sunday, October 7, SPORT SCIENCE goes back to the lab, examining Dolphins LB Joey Porter, Chargers DB Quentin Jammer, former heavyweight boxing champion Chris Byrd, MMA stars Rampage Jackson and Bas Rutten to determine exactly who are the hardest hitters in sports.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL ON FSN
No. 3 Oklahoma (4-0) is on the early season championship bubble, but the Sooners know one loss by a top team can change the entire college football landscape. They have no intention suffering that loss when they open Big 12 conference play this week, traveling to Colorado to take on a Buffs team smelling upset. Then UCLA, fresh off a big rebound win against conference foe Washington, heads to Corvallis to face a tough Oregon State squad in a Pac-10 matchup.
Plus, the contest sponsored by FSN's studio show COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY KICKOFF and Myspace.com to search for the most passionate student college football fan in the country enters it second week. Students who think they've got what it takes to be crowned the No. 1 fan should go to myspace.com/collegefootballsaturday to submit a video making their case for the grand prize. Films should be no more than one-minute in length, cannot contain questionable language, any alcohol consumption and any music heard on the tape has to be original. The best submission each week will be shown on COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY KICKOFF PRESENTED BY KYOCERA, with the winner selected on November 24, 2007.
Sat., Sept. 29 (all times eastern)
FSN PRO FOOTBALL PREVIEW
With the Bears, Ravens and Panthers three of the top defenses in the NFL last season all giving up points by the truckload, and other defenses around the league seemingly unable to stop anyone, host Jay Glazer and FSN PRO FOOTBALL PREVIEW analysts Jason Sehorn, Tim Brown and Eddie George are looking at these shootouts and wondering: where is the defense in the NFL these days? The crew tackles that question and looks at the probable changing of the guard in Chicago, analyzes what the Saints need to do to salvage their season and tries to figure out if this Green Bay squad is for real or winning with smoke and mirrors. FSN PRO FOOTBALL PREVIEW airs on Friday, September 28 at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. local, on Saturday mornings (check local listings) and Sundays at 10 a.m. ET/ 7 a.m. PT.

A LOOK AHEAD ON BEST DAMN:
Best Damn Quotes:
Allen Iverson (on his famous "practice" rant while with the 76ers): "It was just being young and definitely immature. I wish it wouldn't have ever happened. But you learn from experiences like that ... I think it sent the wrong message, especially to kids. You can't be a scoring champion and an MVP and an all-star and all of that without practice ... I didn't want kids to get the message that you don't need to practice because when you're not practicing, someone else is out there practicing, getting better."
Iverson (on playing in Philadelphia): "It's a tough town because they love their sports so much. And they care about it; they're passionate about their sports. And you have to love them for that. I loved every minute of playing for those fans because they cared about it and it meant so much to them."
