FCS Hoops Schedule Boasts Over 400 Men's And Women's Games This Season

Over the next several months, FCS is destination television for any hardcore, hoops-crazy fan of men's and women's college basketball as its schedule continues to heat up.

FCS is presenting over 400 men's and women's college basketball games, representing almost 200 different schools, on its FCS Pacific, FCS Central and FCS Atlantic channels this season. Over 90% of these games are being televised live, and most of the country's elite men's and women's teams are included.

11 top-25 teams (according to AP's 11/12 poll) are featured on the men's schedule, including No. 1 North Carolina, (2) UCLA, (4) Kansas, (19 Washington St., (11) Oregon and (13) Duke. The FCS women's basketball schedule boasts 20 of the top 25 (AP as of 11/12) ranked teams, including No. 1 Tennessee, (2) Connecticut, (3) Maryland, (4) LSU, (5) Stanford, (6) Rutgers, (7) North Carolina, and (8) Georgia.

Included on FCS' schedule is one of college basketball's biggest early-season matchups, as the 16th-ranked Longhorns of Texas will invade Pauley Pavilion on Sunday, December 2, to take on the second-ranked UCLA Bruins.

"We are elated to provide another year of wall-to-wall college basketball action on Fox College Sports," said Director of Programming, Max Casanova. "FCS is leaving no stone unturned in its effort to be the true home for college basketball. FCS is a must-have for anyone who can't get enough college basketball in their life, or has moved away and longs to watch games from back home."

Included are games from several in-season tournaments and conference tournament games. In-season tournaments include the Paradise Jam, the MSG Holiday Festival and the Orange Bowl Classic. Men's postseason conference tournament coverage includes games from the Pac 10, Northeast Conference (NEC), and Big West Conference. Women's postseason tournament coverage includes early-round or championship games from the ACC, Big East, Pac 10, SEC, Big West, Missouri Valley (MVC) and Southland Conference.

Fox College Sports: FCS is three nationally distributed college sports networks (FCS Pacific, FCS Central, and FCS Atlantic) stocked with premium collegiate programming from across the country. FCS features men's and women's competitions across a broad range of NCAA-sanctioned sports highlighted by perennial powers from the ACC, Big 12, Pac 10, SEC, as well as other top conferences. The three networks combine to telecast more than 800 live NCAA events over the course of a year.
