A native of Dublin, Ireland, Keith got his start in soccer as a member of renowned youth clubs St. Kevins and Stella Maris. After spending time with several Irish club teams - most notably Bray Wanderers - Keith earned a scholarship to Cal State Bakersfield where he scored NSCAA All-Region honors. He returned to Europe for a brief tenure with Luton Town in England before the A-League Portland Timbers came calling. During his two seasons in the Pacific Northwest, Keith was the Timbers' top assist man in 2001 and led the squad in minutes played the following year from his left-back position. He trained with the Los Angeles Galaxy during the off-season, and concluded his professional career in 2004 with the Harrisburg City Islanders in Pennsylvania.
Upon settling in Los Angeles, Keith began his tenure with Fox Soccer Channel as the wise-cracking barman on the weekly call-in show, Fox Football Friday, and later served as co-host of Super Saturday + alongside Nick Webster. He's also a regular on the network's Premier League and Serie A telecasts, and serves as a fill-in host on Fox Football Fone-In. Costigan has had the opportunity to interview a wide range of personalities - ranging from David Beckham to Sinead O'Connor - during his time at FSC.
An accomplished journalist, Keith regularly contributes to Foxsoccer.com with his club power rankings and also contributes a monthly piece for Kop magazine (Liverpool, England). He considers Liverpool's come-from-behind victory over AC Milan in the 2005 Champions League finals the most thrilling soccer match he has ever witnessed.
In addition to being active in the Southern California youth soccer community, when not passionately following the "beautiful game" on Fox Soccer Channel, Keith enjoys rooting for the Los Angeles Lakers and spending time on Los Angeles' picturesque beaches.
