Sunday's Bowl Championship Series announcements set the stage for the final acts of arguably the most intriguing college football seasons on record. As the country's most passionate fans prepare for January's college football feast, FOX Sports unveils its BCS broadcast teams for 2008. The announcements were made today by Ed Goren, President and Executive Producer of FOX Sports.

FOX Sports kicks off its 2008 BCS campaign in prime time at the culmination of a New Year's Day doubleheader that starts with the AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic at 11:30 a.m. ET, hosted by Jeanne Zelasko and called by play-by-play legend Pat Summerall alongside analyst Brian Baldinger. After the 71st Cotton Bowl trophy has been awarded, FOX's focus shifts to the Louisiana Superdome, where BCS on FOX lead play-by-play announcer Thom Brennaman and lead analyst Charles Davis team with FOX Sports reporter Chris Myers to present the 2008 ALLSTATE SUGAR BOWL between the University of Hawaii and the University of Georgia on Tuesday, Jan. 1 (8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT). Producer Mike Burks and director Rich Russo lead the production team.

"Thom and Charles performed terrifically during last year's Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and BCS National Championship Game," said Goren. "This season they picked up right where they left off with a full season slate of games on the Big Ten Network where their chemistry got better and better each week."

On Tuesday, Jan. 2 (7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT), FOX Sports play-by-play announcer Matt Vasgersian is joined by former UCLA head coach and San Francisco 49ers general manager Terry Donahue and former USC and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Pat Haden for the TOSTITOS FIESTA BOWL. This broadcast is live from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz, and pits the Oklahoma Sooners and the West Virginia Mountaineers. Donahue is currently calling NFL on FOX regular season broadcasts, while Haden handles analyst duties for NBC's coverage of Notre Dame. Handling sideline reporting for the TOSTITOS FIESTA BOWL is FSN's pro and college football reporter Laura Okmin. Jeff Gowen produces and Emmy Award-winner Bill Webb directs.

FOX Sports' 2008 BCS campaign continues on Wednesday, Jan. 3 (7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT) when the Virginia Tech Hokies meet the University of Kansas Jayhawks in the FEDEX ORANGE BOWL. NFL and MLB on FOX play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert teams with regular NFL broadcast partner and former Dallas Cowboys fullback Daryl Johnston, as well as former Wisconsin head coach Barry Alvarez to call the action. FOX Sports reporter Jeanne Zelasko patrols the sidelines. Producer Barry Landis and director Mike Frank handle the live broadcast from inside the production truck at Dolphin Stadium in Miami.

"FOX Sports is proud to bring together this very talented and capable group of announcers," added Goren.

FOX Sports' lead BCS broadcast team returns to New Orleans on Monday, Jan. 7 (7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT) for the 2007-2008 college football bowl schedule's main event. BCS on FOX's Brennaman, Davis and Myers cover each twist and turn as the Louisiana State University Tigers face off against the Ohio State Buckeyes for the coveted crystal ball in the ALLSTATE BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

As previously announced, former University of Miami head coach Jimmy Johnson teams with FSN's Chris Rose to anchor each BCS on FOX contest's pregame, halftime and postgame coverage, live from the site of each game. It is planned for the two to be joined on set by additional BCS on FOX analysts to be announced at a later date.

In November 2004, FOX Sports and the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) reached an exclusive four-year agreement covering all media distribution and sponsorship rights for the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, FedEx Orange Bowl and Allstate Sugar Bowl from 2007 through 2010, as well as the BCS National Championship Game from 2007 through 2009. In addition, FOX Sports also continues as the exclusive broadcast home to the prestigious AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic through 2010.
