MLB on FOX Action: Dodgers/Mets; Red Sox/White Sox Square Off Saturday
PACKERS TAKE ON JAGUARS IN PRESEASON SHOWDOWN AT LAMBEAU The NFL on FOX wraps up its 2007 NFL preseason coverage tonight as the Green Bay Packers take on the Jacksonville Jaguars at Lambeau Field. Coverage kicks off live from Green Bay, at 8 p.m. ET /5 p.m. PT. NFL on FOX's Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston call the action while Tony Siragusa and Chris Myers patrol the sidelines.
MENEFEE: EDWARDS CAN RESHAPE CHIEFS NOW The latest stop on his tour of NFL training camps brought FOX NFL SUNDAY's Curt Menefee to visit Herm Edwards' Chiefs, who last season managed to sneak into playoffs with a 9-7 record. According to Menefee, this year's Kansas City roster looks stronger and younger thanks to key changes including the exit of 37-year-old quarterback Trent Green. With a quarterback controversy now brewing, he believes it would be wise for the Chiefs to start Brodie Croyle, in his second season, over veteran Damon Huard. "It's clear that Croyle is physically better and gives the Chiefs a better opportunity to be good down the road," said Menefee. "Playing Huard this year does nothing to help the future. Croyle has a stronger arm, is more mobile, and has a little something about him." With a young QB and a lot of other holes to fill, Menefee concluded "this is clearly a rebuilding year for Edwards' team. The good news is that Edwards is the perfect guy to do it."
METS AND RED SOX LOOK TO EXTEND DIVISION LEADS ON FOX'S SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK With only five weeks remaining of FOX's SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK schedule, coverage of the MLB regular season heats up on Saturday, August 25 (3:30 p.m. ET) as teams vie for playoff position.
The MLB on FOX pregame show kicks-off at 3:30 p.m. ET from studio 2A in Los Angeles with host Jeanne Zelasko and analysts Kevin Kennedy and Eric Karros. Karros and Kennedy will debate and breakdown the "Week That Was" and choose their "Heroes and Goats," a segment that crowns the best and worst team or individual performances of the week. In Flushing, the Los Angeles Dodgers battle NL East-leading New York Mets, including centerfielder Carlos Beltran who earned NL Player of the Week honors by batting .375 with a league leading 10 RBI's from August 13-19. In Chicago, the AL East-leading Boston Red Sox match-up with the White Sox. Currently holding a five game lead, the Red Sox look to further distance themselves from the New York Yankees.

How about Boise St.'s hook-and-ladder in this year's BCS National Championship game to propel them in one of the wildest and most exciting football games in recent memory?
Hosted by Chris Rose alongside former NFL QB Rodney Peete, the show also salutes two of the greatest single season touchdown performances of all time and a tribute to the king of touchdown receptions, Jerry Rice.
