Best Damn Quotes
Memphis coach John Calipari (on the possibility of Memphis star Derrick Rose going pro): "If he wants to do what's right for him and his family, he'll go pro...if he wants to do what's right for me and my family, he'll stay."

Bengals WR Chad Johnson (on what he said to Brett Favre a few seasons ago when the two met during pregame warmups): " 'Just throw me the ball. I just want you to know what it's like to throw to greatness.' I'm not kidding. That's what I told him."

Johnson (on the thought of being traded to the Cowboys): "If I end up in Dallas, I just look at which finger I'm going to put it on. That's it. Ain't no ifs, ands or buts."

SPORT SCIENCE

(Scheduling clarification: FSN aired SPORT SCIENCE: GEAR FACTOR on Sunday, March 23. FSN will air SPORT SCIENCE: TRICKS OF THE TRADE on Sunday, March 30).

Raptors sharpshooter Jason Kapono never liked the NBA's officiating decree that claims a player can't mathematically get a shot off in less than .3 of a second, the so-called Trent Tucker rule, so he grabbed Lakers guard Jordan Farmar and entered the SPORT SCIENCE lab with the intention of proving he can catch and shoot in fewer than .3 seconds.

But Kapono had to kill some time, because already waiting in the lab were U.S.A Soccer star Abby Wambach, who was taking part in an experiment to see if her bend-it-like-Beckham imitation curved more than a baseball, and Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski, who was warming up for a test to determine if kicking a football with the laces facing the kicker makes a difference in the distance and accuracy.

In this week's episode, Tricks of the Trade, host John Brenkus and his team of scientists delve into all of those experiments, plus Jeanette "Black Widow" Lee aims to defy physics on a pool table, Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew uses the SPORT SCIENCE motion capture studio to find out why NFL defenders have such trouble tackling him and the show's scientists wonder if baseball's hitters should stop warming up with weights on their bats.

The newest installment of SPORT SCIENCE, recently nominated for four Sports Emmy awards, airs Sunday, March 23 at 9 p.m. local

UPCOMING: AMAZING SPORTS STORIES

Part movie, part documentary, FSN's newest program, AMAZING SPORTS STORIES, promises to touch the heart and soul of every sports fan. Using dramatic re-enactments, archival footage as well as interviews with historians and living principals, each of the 13 half-hour episodes focuses on an athlete or team whose unbelievable story has been lost to the annals of time.

Be it the boxer who rose off his deathbed for one last fight to give his family a special Christmas, the baseball player turned World War II fighter pilot who overcame extraordinary odds to become the only man to play in a major league game on one leg or the two rival NFL teams that merged into one team to save the league from going out of business, the profiles showcased in AMAZING SPORTS STORIES are insightful, fascinating and often inspirational.

Created and executive produced by Bruce Nash, AMAZING SPORTS STORIES airs every Sunday night at 8 p.m. local. A hybrid combination of a mini-movie and a documentary, AMAZING SPORTS STORIES is unlike anything seen on FSN before. The premiere episode, "Bert Shepard: The Dream That Wouldn't Die," airs on Sunday, April 13.
