Colorado Avalanche Roster Report
by Sports Xchange
FIRST LINE: Wojtek Wolski, Paul Stastny, David Jones.
SECOND LINE: Darcy Tucker, Matt Duchene, Milan Hejduk.
THIRD LINE: Cody McLeod, Ryan O'Reilly, Marek Svatos.
FOURTH LINE: David Koci, T.J. Galiardi, Chris Stewart.
PLAYER NOTES:
--C Matt Duchene scored his first goal in nine games Friday in Vancouver. Duchene, who previously scored Oct. 30 in San Jose, nudged the puck across the goal line on a first-period power play. Duchene, the third overall pick in the 2009 NHL entry draft, has collected all three of his goals this season on the road.
--D John-Michael Liles returned to the Avalanche on Friday and paid dividends on what has been a sputtering Avalanche power play. Liles, who missed five games with a shoulder injury, assisted on two power-play goals against Vancouver. Liles has a hard shot and his presence on the point was sorely missed.
--RW David Jones scored a power-play goal Friday in Vancouver, giving him goals in two consecutive games and five goals in the past eight games. With eight goals in 19 games -- he missed the first four games with a chest injury -- Jones has tied the career high he set last season when he played in 40 games.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--D Adam Foote (jaw) is day-to-day. He was injured in the first period Nov. 17 against Calgary and has missed two games.
--C Matt Hendricks (groin) was placed on injured reserve Nov. 20, retroactive to Nov. 14. He's missed three games.
--D Ruslan Salei (back) was placed on injured reserve Oct. 12, retroactive to Oct. 8. Salei has yet to play this season.
