Le Golf National is the site for the Open de France ALSTOM, this week's stop on the European Tour.
With just two weeks remaining before The Open Championship, Europe's best players will be teeing it up hoping to get their games in top form. This tournament, first played in 1906, is the oldest national open tournament in Europe and offers a purse of 4,000,000 Euros, which is the richest on tour outside of the Championship. And while this tournament annually attracts some of the biggest names on tour, last year's winner, Pablo Larrazabal, entered the tournament from the qualifier and posted rounds of 65-70-67-67 for a four-stroke victory over Colin Montgomery.
