British rugby player Paul Wood lost a testicle from his league final, but not his sense of humor.

PAIN TRAIN

Injuries are a part of football, but these players have been hit particularly hard.

Wood, playing for the Warrington Wolves, was injured in a collision during the Super League Grand Final against Leeds Rhinos on Saturday at Manchester's Old Trafford.

"Ruptured my right testicle, got a knee one minute into the second half, had to have it removed," tweeted the 30-year-old father of two.

"Just coming out the hospital to go home... Seriously feel like I've left something?

"Tony Smith (Warrington coach) did say in his pre-match team talk last night 'your balls are on the line here guys!' I didn't think he meant literally."

Wood managed to finish the match despite the injury, but Warrington still fell to 2011 champ Leeds, 26-18.
