Azteca intimidation
The U.S. felt very optimistic about its chances to earn its first-ever victory at the Azteca when Charlie Davies put them ahead early in their World Cup qualifier in Mexico City on August 12, 2009, but Mexico rallied to tie the game at halftime and substitute Miguel Sabah's goal in late stages of the match gave El Tri a massive 2-1 victory in front of over 114,000 joyous fans.
