Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o wants to join another top club if the Catalans insist on not utilizing him.

The 27-year-old Cameroonian was speaking to journalists in Nairobi on Monday as he began football clinics for children at the invitation of Unilever Kenya.

Eto'o, along with Brazilian forward Ronaldinho and Portugal playmaker Deco, was deemed surplus to requirements by new Barca boss Josep Guardiola.

Eto'o said: "I have been at Barca for four years, two of which we won almost everything.

"I have had another two that were very difficult, getting injured and things not going well.

"My third season was not good. I was criticised and then I got an injury.

"It was all too much for me and now I'm back on my feet again and looking forward to playing at the highest level.

"I have nothing to prove despite the criticism.

"Playing at the level I am comes with responsibilities and with that responsibility, one is bound to be criticised for what you do and what you have not done that, you have to live with."

The three-time African Footballer of the Year said he is yet to make a decision on his future due to his involvement with The Indomitable Lions in the recent 2010 World Cup/Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Eto'o said: "For the moment, I'm still a Barcelona player and there will come a time when I will have to sit down with the club and my agent to make a decision on my career.

"There are possibilities, some proposals that we are looking at and at some point I will have to make a decision whether to remain at Barca or move on."

He added: "The World Cup is coming to Africa in the next few years and I need to be playing at a high level if I have to make a decent contribution to Cameroon's campaign."
