AC Milan have accepted that Arsenal's "impossible" valuation of striker Emmanuel Adebayor has priced them out from making a summer transfer swoop.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has made it clear he has no intention of allowing their top scorer - or anyone else for that matter - hold the club to ransom over excessive wage demands.
But Wenger also knows that holding back an unsettled player whose focus is directed away from the team's own success holds no value to the long-term direction of the club.
And Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani believes the Londoners are unwilling to accept anything less than what they feel represents the full value of the Togolese striker, whose 7million pound move to the Emirates Stadium from Monaco 18 months ago brought with it 30 goals in the 2007/08 season.
"The request for €45million (£35.8million) by Arsenal is an impossible request," Galliani said.
