Aguirre sets up Mexican roster for Gold Cup

CONCACAF Gold Cup
The 'European' contingent of Giovani Dos Santos and Carlos Vela, along with Omar Bravo from Deportivo La Coruña in Spain, are included on the roster from Mexican national team coach Javier Aguirre.
Aguirre once again opted against goalkeeper Oswaldo Sanchez and won't be utilizing Mexican talisman Cuauhtemoc Blanco of the Chicago Fire.
Mexico has participated in two friendly matches ahead of its first Gold Cup match on July 5 against Nicaragua. El Tri routed Venezuela 4-0 on June 24 in Atlanta, then dominated the match but had to settle for a scoreless draw with Guatemala on June 28 in San Diego.
The Gold Cup takes center stage in the region from July 3 until July 26. Mexico is in Group C and will face Panama and Guadeloupe along with Nicaragua. The last Gold Cup tournament was in 2007 where Mexico lost 2-1 to the United States.
