Cowboys backup Orton calls offense 'phenomenal'

Logging time throwing to starters like Jason Witten, Dez Bryant and Miles Austin is something that Orton admitted will help him if he's needed during the regular season.
Entering his second year with the club, the nine-year veteran says the Cowboys have a "phenomenal offense."
"We got so many good players at the special positions," Orton said Wednesday. "Witten draws so much attention inside that these guys just get great looks on the outside. You got to pay so much attention to Jason and DeMarco [Murray] running the ball inside that … you're one-on-one on the outside and those two guys with Miles and Dez, they're tough to cover."
Orton added: "We got a great system here. Just run the plays and go to the right spots with the ball. We got great players, so if you do that and you do it consistently, you can score a lot of points."
Orton went to Bryant on four consecutive plays during the final team drills on Wednesday. The next-to-last target was a one-handed grab that Bryant made but he was ruled out of bounds. Regardless, it was a catch that not many players could make.
"There's a few guys around the league that can just make plays that other people can't, and he's one of those guys," Orton said. "The great thing is that he's such a young player, and you only get better at that position. He's got a lot of room to grow."
