Cowboys RB Murray hopes to return soon

Murray, who has missed the last four games with a sprained left foot, was in uniform Wednesday and participated in some of the drills during the media portion of practice.
"I'm feeling good," Murray said after practice. "It felt good to be back on the field today a little bit. I'm just taking it day-by-day."
The 24-year-old running back says he continues to progress in his rehabilitation but doesn't want to return too quickly and suffer further injury that could put him out for the remainder of the season.
The Cowboys host the Cleveland Browns on Sunday and the Washington Redskins four days later on Thanksgiving Day. If Murray is unable to go in either of those games, his return date could be Dec. 2 when the Philadelphia Eagles travel to Arlington.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Wednesday that Murray would probably be back in a couple weeks.
Having two games in five days does factor into when he'll play again, according to Murray.
"Next week being a short week definitely hurts me a little bit, not having that full week of practice and a full week to kind of let it heal a little more," he said. "But I'm just looking forward to this game, this week. I don't know what's going to happen."
Murray said he didn't think it would take this long to return from the sprain he suffered in Baltimore on Oct. 14.
"Knowing my body and knowing how I recover, I thought I was going to miss a game," he said, "maybe two at the most."
