Dwight Howard considers shooting free throws with eyes closed

But probably the biggest joke of all is his free-throw percentage.
For his career, Howard is just 49.2 percent from the line.
It's been a constant battle, but Howard may finally have found the answer to his problem: shoot with his eyes closed.
That's right. For a man that can't make them with his eyes open, Howard wants to now shoot them closed.
"There is a guy who has the world record for most free throws made and he told me to do that drill and its good for trusting your form," Howard revealed to the Houston Chronicle. "You can’t see nothing, so you have to trust your form and trust that it goes in."
Apparently, it works. At the end of practice, Howard challenged fellow Rocket James Harden to a blind, free-throw shooting contest. Howard hit 8-of-10 and won.
"I might have to start doing my eyes closed 8-10 in games," Howard continued. "I have a good percentage. I am 8 for 10 with my eyes closed."
One of Howard's season goals is to shoot at least 75 percent from the free-throw line. Judging by his past record, Howard should do anything he can to achieve that including shooting with his eyes closed if that does the trick.
It certainly couldn't hurt.
