Ginobili's new contract lost in bird attack?

The Spurs sent the intern to bring back star Manu Ginobili's signed contract in July.
However, before the return flight home, the intern was attacked by a bird in a Buenos Aires park, according to a report by The New York Times, citing team officials.
What's worse is that the intern reportedly lost his backpack, which contained his passport — and Ginobili's signed contract.
No worries. though. The Spurs guard will still get his two-year extension.
An assistant was able to get a replacement contract signed shortly afterward and returned it safely to Texas.
"No birds got to him," Sean Marks, the Spurs' director of basketball operations, told The New York Times. "We were all waiting for Manu's contract to show up on eBay. It hasn't yet."
No word on whether the team will continue sending interns on international trips, but it's probably safer to just have them use email in the future.
