Manziel listed as 'hopeful' for Vandy game

"I would list Johnny as hopeful," Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin said during Tuesday's media availability. "That's where he is right now."
Sumlin declined to get into specifics about Manziel's injury, but did say Manziel was wearing a precautionary sling Monday. Manziel got treatment on his right arm Tuesday morning. CBS Sports reported that Manziel was out of the sling Tuesday.
Manziel was hurt in in the fourth quarter of the 45-41 loss to the Tigers and missed a series. He returned to the game and led the Aggies on the fourth-quarter scoring drive. In his absence, junior Matt Joeckel was under center for the Aggies.
Sumlin said the Aggies would change their practice rotation some this week depending on what Manziel can and can't do. If he's unable to go in practice, that would mean more practice time for Joeckel, who started the season opener against SMU in which Manziel was suspended for the first half. True freshman Kenny Hill would also figure in the quarterback mix.
