Vince Carter fakes injury, dunks on Warriors

From 360 windmills to dunking while covering his eyes to throwing his arm through the rim and hanging from his elbow, "Vinsanity" has proven to be one of the best in-air performers the basketball world has ever seen.
And after Thursday night, you can also call him one of the trickiest.
In the closing seconds of the first half against the Golden State Warriors, Carter fell to the court with what appeared to be an injury.
Mavericks guard Darren Collison held the ball at the top of the key, in hopes that Carter would regain his composure.
But Carter rose, only to slump back down at the bottom corner of the baseline, seemingly keeping himself out of the final play of the half.
With four seconds remaining, Collison started to drive to the basket then passed the ball to Elton Brand in the middle of the lane.
The Warriors were playing a 2-3 zone and two defenders closed in on Brand . . . only for a minor "miracle" to happen.
Carter rose, flew down the baseline, received the pass from Brand and threw down a monster dunk.
Blogs blew up that Carter "faked" the injury as he was called out by several fans over the Internet for a "dirty play."
But at 36 years old . . . let's just chalk this one up to a cagey veteran maneuver.
