Porsche AG and Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) have announced the sports car marque will field a two-car factory team named PORSCHE NORTH AMERICA throughout next year’s inaugural TUDOR United SportsCar Racing championship.
News from the FIA International Court of Appeal yesterday proved bittersweet for Nissan. After taking third place at the Le Mans 24 Hours in June, Nissan Partner Team, G-Drive Racing, was disqualified from the results for a breach of article 6.5.1 of the Technical Regulations. The team appealed against this decision but it was rejected and the team’s exclusion stands.

As everyone saw earlier today, Team Penske announced that Juan Pablo Montoya will join the team in 2014 as he will return to open‑wheel racing and drive the No. 2 Team Penske Dallara/Chevrolet for the team in the IZOD IndyCar Series. Juan will join three‑time Indy 500 winner and current series championship leader Helio Castroneves and three‑time series road course champion, Will Power to lead a three‑car Team Penske IndyCar program next season.

This weekend on the 20-22 September the world of endurance racing comes to Texas as the FIA World Endurance Championship and the American Le Mans Series will stage a Super Endurance Weekend at the Circuit of the Americas. A number of pre event activities are on offer for the people of Austin to enjoy as the clock counts down to the weekend of racing action.
