Nicky Hayden admits that he is not happy with the results he has had during his stint with Ducati, and is ready for a fresh start with Power Electronics Aspar next season.
Since his move to Ducati in 2009, the American has only scored three podium finishes and has failed to finish better than seventh in the championship standings.
“If I’m completely honest, I look back and don’t say it with regrets, but I can’t really be happy about the five years,” Hayden said in a sit-down interview with Gavin Emmett. “Results wise, it just wasn’t enough. That’s bitter. There will definitely be a little bitter taste in my mouth that we couldn’t accomplish more, especially in the last year or two.”

Casey Stoner has come to the end of a three-day test at Japan’s Sportsland Sugo circuit, run between Monday and Wednesday. The two-time MotoGP World Champion worked on the 2013 and 2014 RC213V Honda prototype machines.
Although the Australian was pleased that rain did not affect proceedings as had been the case with previous test sessions at Motegi earlier this year, Stoner was unable to test the Honda Production Racer which instead was run by Takumi Takahashi.

Pol Espargaro’s 2013 success signals his first title win in the World Championship. The 22-year-old Spaniard becomes the fourth Moto2 World Champion and the 107th different rider to win a title in the history of the World Championship.
The younger brother of MotoGP racer Aleix Espargaro made his World Championship debut as a wildcard in 2006, at the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya situated barely ten minutes’ drive from his Granollers home. From 27th on the grid, Pol would finish that 125 race in 13th position to become the youngest ever rider to score points in the World Championship, barely one week after his 15th birthday.
