Conway looking up despite disappointment at St. Pete

Under caution on Lap 77 during the Verizon IndyCar Series season-opener at St. Petersburg, a flurry of cars flocked down pit road to get their pit service complete. Staying out on track, however, was Mike Conway, who had missed the radio communication to come in.

Despite this miscommunication and ensuing penalty for pitting on Lap 78 after passing the pace car, the team believes there were many positives to take away from the race.

James Stewart enters this weekend’s Monster Energy SuperCross race riding a wave of three consecutive victories. However, he is still 36 points back of Ryan Villopoto, who has won at the NRG Stadium in Houston the last two years running.

Nine time World Champion Valentino Rossi has hinted that he wants to continue racing with Movistar Yamaha MotoGP™ next year in an exclusive television interview with Sky television in Italy.

The Italian MotoGP™ star returned to Yamaha at the beginning of 2013 of course and last year he achieved six podiums including a win at Assen, followed up by a great race ten days ago in Qatar to finish second at round one – after a thrilling battle with current World Champion Marc Marquez.

Jenson Button will start his 250th Grand Prix in Bahrain this weekend, and later this year he will move into third place on the all-time starts list, behind only Rubens Barrichello and Michael Schumacher.

Reflecting on his latest achievement today, Button said he couldn’t believe how fast it had come around.
