Lotus endured another disastrous day in Sepang as Pastor Maldonado failed to log a lap time.

Maldonado did only two installation laps in the morning before he was forced to park the car, and a power unit change – including key components such as the V6, the turbo and the motor generator units – meant that he could not run in the afternoon.

FIA’s premier open-wheel racing series, Formula 1, is in Sepang this weekend for Sunday’s Malaysian Grand Prix. While the teams and drivers have a busy weekend ahead of them, each of them are taking time to send support for those who were onboard Flight MH370 and their families.

Flight MH370 disappeared during its flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, prompting an ongoing search that is now taking place in the Indian Ocean.

Many in the Formula 1 paddock have taken to Twitter and other forms of social media to send their support to the missing passengers and their families. Formula 1 will hold a moment of silence prior to its Grand Prix on Sunday.
