Sauber has finally confirmed that Adrian Sutil will join the Swiss team next year.

The German driver had expected to stay at Force India, but found himself squeezed out after Sergio Perez came onto the market. He had already laid the groundwork for a possible move to the Hinwil outfit, but over the weeks since the Brazilian GP it has at times been in the balance due to uncertainty over the team’s future plans.

INDYCAR announced that Chevrolet and Honda will provide distinct aerodynamic configurations for the IndyCar Series chassis beginning in 2015.

As part of its long-range focus on innovation, INDYCAR announced in June that aerodynamic bodywork “kits” would be introduced and utilized for all 2015 races and include separate specifications for superspeedways and road/street/short ovals.

Sergio Perez has defended Formula One’s controversial new double points rule for the 2014 season finale.

With the sport moving to ensure the championship stays alive throughout the season, the double points rule was greeted with uproar among fans and slammed by dominant 2013 champion Sebastian Vettel as “nonsense.”

But Mexican Perez, a McLaren driver this year who is moving to Force India for 2014, admitted on Thursday he does not agree with the naysayers.
