The Andretti family will organize a race featuring electric cars on the streets of Miami in March 2015.

Andretti Sports Marketing announced Friday that it had been appointed by Formula E to conduct the race.

Formula E is the world’s first fully electric racing series. It will feature open-wheel cars powered exclusively by electricity. It’s designed to promote interest and investment in electric vehicles and sustainable motoring.

Another front has opened up amid Bernie Ecclestone’s legal woes, as it emerges the state Munich bank BayernLB plans to sue the embattled Formula One chief executive.

The 83-year-old Briton is already the subject of criminal proceedings in Germany, while the German media company Constantin pursues him for over $100 million in London’s high court.

ARCA And FOX Sports Announce 2014 TV Schedule

Officials from the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and FOX Sports announced Saturday the FOX Sports broadcast schedule for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards for the upcoming 2014 season.

The FOX Sports family of networks will televise 10 ARCA Racing Series events as part of a multi-year agreement. The broadcast schedule kicks off with ARCA’s 51st consecutive visit to Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 15. The Lucas Oil 200 precedes the NASCAR Sprint Unlimited and will be held the day before qualifying for the Daytona 500.

Yamada-san, how would you summarize the 2013 MotoGP season?

Overall, I think this season has been fantastic – one of the best ever for the series. All the riders were performing at a very high level and to witness Marc (Marquez) break record after record and Jorge (Lorenzo) defend his title with so much passion, I think it brought many new fans to MotoGP.
