Felipe Massa is heading into his final race for Ferrari on home ground at Interlagos, and the weekend is bound to be full of emotion for the Brazilian.

Intriguingly, when reviewing his Ferrari career he cited Hockenheim 2010 – the day of the infamous ‘Fernando is faster than you’ incident – as the low point, along of course with his accident in Hungary the previous year.

A $5-million reconfiguration project to transform the existing Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course for the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis IndyCar Series race on May 10, 2014 was completed Tuesday, Nov. 19.

The new layout features more speed and hard braking zones to create more passing and competitive racing. Indianapolis 500 veteran and IndyCar Series team owner Sarah Fisher helped to finish the project Tuesday on a two-seater paver.

Testing for Daytona Prototypes, P2 and Prototype Challenge cars was suspended Wednesday at Daytona International Speedway on the grounds of safety, due to a number of tire-related incidents, two of which caused airborne accidents for newly upgraded DPs.

According to IMSA VP of Competition & Technical Regulations, Scot Elkins, the decision to ground all prototype machinery, except for the DeltaWing coupe, was a joint decision with partner Continental Tire, as they work to come to the bottom of the issue.

KVSH Racing has signed Mistic Electronic Cigarettes as co-primary sponsor for Sebastien Bourdais.

The sponsorship agreement for the “Mistic Machine” is for two seasons. The sponsorship covers seven race weekends in 2014.
