Team Penske announced today that Juan Pablo Montoya will join the team in 2014. Montoya will drive the No. 2 Team Penske IndyCar for the full season as he will join Will Power and three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves in the team’s IZOD IndyCar Series lineup beginning next season.
This weekend on the 20-22 September the world of endurance racing comes to Texas as the FIA World Endurance Championship and the American Le Mans Series will stage a Super Endurance Weekend at the Circuit of the Americas. A number of pre event activities are on offer for the people of Austin to enjoy as the clock counts down to the weekend of racing action.

Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa were no match for race-winner Jorge Lorenzo Sunday at Misano, but were able to clinch the team’s eighth double podium of the season, finishing second and third respectively.
Marquez struggled at the start, losing spots to Lorenzo and Pedrosa going into Turn 1. The rookie continued to struggle on a full fuel load, as a mistake on Lap 5 allowed Valentino Rossi to slip by for fourth.
“At the start of the race I knew that I had to be careful, but I made two mistakes,” Marquez said. “Maybe I was lacking a little experience; it’s my rookie season and it is normal to make a few errors.

He had to win the San Marino Grand Prix and squeeze the points gap to tenacious young rival Marc Marquez.
Lorenzo delivered as only he can, with a masterclass of stunning, front-running speed to lead all 28 laps with an inch-perfect performance.
Nissan’s Infiniti luxury division is going through a major naming shift in 2014, with many of its new vehicle names changing, even if a lot of the cars and light-duty trucks themselves are very familiar.
A good case in point is Infiniti’s top-of-the-line, eight-passenger sport-utility vehicle. Known as the QX56 in 2013, the 2014 model will be called the QX80, although it is largely a carryover, save for the addition of Infiniti’s Backup Collision Intervention System, which becomes part of the high-line SUV’s optional Technology Package. The body, chassis, engine and most other key components remain unchanged between the two.
