Heading into Round 8 of the 2013 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, Poulsbo native Ryan Villopoto carried a winless record in his home state of Washington. On Saturday, Villopoto went head-to-head with this season’s biggest rival, Ryan Dungey, where he captured his first ever overall victory at Washougal for the 33rd Annual Peterson CAT Washougal National.
Perhaps Villopoto’s 450 Class victory was a personal milestone for the 2011 450 Class Champion, but it also served as an end to Dungey’s five-year win streak at Washougal. Villopoto and Dungey split moto wins for the day, providing an exciting afternoon of racing at the championship’s only stop in the Pacific Northwest.
Hard to believe, but Nissan’s upscale Infiniti division is closing on being one quarter of a century old. And from the time it first started selling cars in the United States in late 1989, Infiniti’s products typically have been a little edgier and sportier than many of its competitors.
That’s still true today.
Infiniti’s flagship sedan for 2013 is the M56, now in its third year of production. The Infiniti M comes in several distinct flavors: The M37 is a six-cylinder sedan powered by a 330-horsepower, 3.7-liter sedan, while this week’s test car, the M56, gets the much more powerful 5.6-liter V-8 that produces a full 420 horsepower. There is also am M Hybrid variant based on the M37, and both the M37 and M56 are available with your choice of rear- or all-wheel drive.

Q: Spent the weekend up in Toronto and it was everything an Indy weekend should be. Gorgeous women, cold beers and most importantly great racing. It had the same vibe as when i started going to races in the 90′s minus the Tecate Girls. This should be a blueprint for every event IndyCar stages. All the talk the past few weeks of kids and fans buried in their cell phones was completely void this weekend. I didn’t see it once when the on track product was on. Two questions: In the first race, Bourdais stayed out a couple extra laps while leading before pitting and came out with no advantage, that used to guarantee bigger gaps running on lighter fuel while others were full. What has changed? Do the tires make that big a difference? And my final question or statement is I’ve been attending IndyCar events for 20 years does Michael Andretti ever smile?
