SRT Motorsports will not take part in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Detroit manufacturer has confirmed that it has pulled the two-car factory GTE-Pro effort, ahead of next month’s deadline for the final entry deposits.
Jarno Trulli, who won the 2004 Monaco Grand Prix in Formula 1, test drove the Spark-Renault SRT_01E at La Ferte Gaucher circuit near Choisy-le-Roi, France, earlier this month.
The 39-year-old Italian is a member of the Formula E Drivers’ Club, and hopes to become one of the 20 drivers who will compete in the series’ inaugural season starting in September 2014.
