Christian Horner says that the battle between Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso at Silverstone was a fair one, despite some controversy about how much of the run-off area they were using.

Both drivers complained on team radio about their rival exceeding track limits, something that the FIA had brought up before the race. Vettel eventually got past, and pulled away to claim fifth.

If Marc Marquez keeps winning, he will wrap up this year’s MotoGP world title at MotorLand Aragon – regardless of what his rivals do. In order to do that, the Spaniard would need to claim a fifth straight victory at Germany’s Sachsenring this weekend.

21-year-old Marquez is no stranger to the Sachsenring. In fact, he’s won there on his last four attempts: in the 125 class in 2010, in the Moto2 class in both 2011 and 2012 and in his first MotoGP German Grand Prix last year. On each of those occasions he was coming from pole position.

Will Power of Team Penske was so upset with his third drive-through penalty since the Indianapolis 500 that he angrily stalked over to the IndyCar Officials Transporter trying to explain his side of the story. Power was in a fierce battle with Team Penske teammates Juan Pablo Montoya and Helio Castroneves in the closing stages of Sunday’s race at Pocono Raceway.

Power was running second to Montoya when Castroneves went for the pass on Lap 171. Power drove low to protect his position, considered a block, and then drove to the inside again for what IndyCar officials considered a second block.

Local Motors wants to change the way America makes things. In fact, it already has.

The Phoenix-based automotive and industrial design and manufacturing outfit was one of the pioneers of cloud-based co-creation, where members of a 150,000-member strong online community submit and refine ideas for products, dramatically speeding up the process.

Founded in 2007, its first project was the Rally Fighter, a high-speed off-roader built from a mix of original parts and off-the-shelf components that’s manufactured in small numbers at what Local Motors calls a microfactory. Each vehicle it produces is an updated version of the one before it.

Juan Pablo Montoya has won the IndyCar race at Pocono Raceway, the highlight of a triumphant return to open wheel racing after seven years in NASCAR.

Helio Castroneves was second to make it a 1-2 finish Sunday for team owner Roger Penske. Montoya won for the first time in the CART/IndyCar Series since 2000 and had his first major victory since he won a road course race at Watkins Glen in NASCAR in 2010.

With double points awarded in the 500-mile races, Castroneves moved into a tie for the points lead with Team Penske teammate Will Power. Power was hit with a blocking penalty on Castroneves late in the race and had to serve a drive through penalty, costing him a shot at racing for the win. He finished 10th.
