Sebastian Vettel has admitted there was “something wrong” with his original 2014 RB10 chassis.

After Barcelona, where the German impressed at the wheel of Red Bull’s winter testing monocoque, it was reported that the team had discovered a ‘bend’ in the car with which Vettel struggled during the first four races of 2014.

Having secured MotoGP pole again at the Monster Energy Grand Prix de France Marc Marquez will head the grid for Sunday’s fifth race of 2014, with the front row also featuring Pol Espargaro and Andrea Dovizioso.

After the first flying laps Marquez was immediately top with a 1:32.567, to set a new fastest ever lap of Le Mans, the World Champion then improving to a remarkable 1:32.042 time to maintain his 100 percent qualifying record in 2014.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine could soon be teaming up with actor and race car driver Patrick Dempsey for a joint venture into the racing world.

The two heartthrobs exchanged a series of tweets on Friday in which Levine showed interest in joining Dempsey on track.

Bump Day is now on the first day of qualifications, instead of the second, and Pole Day is on Sunday and not Saturday.

It’s the latest attempt to generate interest in Indianapolis 500 Qualifying – an event that used to draw race day-sized crowds to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway just two or three decades ago.
