The 15th and final season of the American Le Mans Series draws to a close this weekend at Road Atlanta for the annual Petit Le Mans. FOX Sports’ SPEED Blog continues its team-by-team preview with analysis GT class contenders for the 1,000-mile/10-hour enduro.

Originally scheduled to be a 19-lap encounter, the race distance was shortened to 12 tours following a delay after multiple collisions among multiple bikes on the opening lap.

After the initial incident for Axel Pons (Tuenti HP 40), Fadli Immammuddin (JIR Moto2) collected the stranded bike before Ezequiel Iturrioz (Blusens Avintia), Zaqhwan Zaidi (Technomag carXpert) and Decha Kraisart (Singha Eneos Yamaha Tech 3) also became involved. Thankfully, all riders escaped major injury.

The final American Le Mans Series event takes place this weekend, Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, and the Official Spotter Guide is now available to download here.
The guide features all these cars and their drivers. In addition, there is information on teams, cars, helmets, chassis, tires, classes and even fuel!
All the ALMS cars will carry a helmet decal of the late Sean Edwards who was killed earlier this week. Sean will be missed by the whole motorsports community. We send condolences to his family, friends and colleagues on the track.

Feld Motor Sports has unveiled the track design for the Monster Energy Cup that will take place at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium on Oct. 19.
Designed by five-time Monster Energy Supercross champion Ricky Carmichael, this year’s Monster Energy Cup track will be so massive that the stadium itself can’t contain it.
