Bernie Ecclestone has won the latest of his legal battles related to the Gribkowsky Affair – in this instance a damages suit brought against him in the High Court in London by the German media company Constantin Medien, a former owner of the F1 Group.

Constantin claimed to have lost out over the sale of F1 to CVC in 2006, and was suing for $140m.

An official announcement has been made stating that Dean Wilson, a winner this season in the 250SX Class West Region, will race in the premier 450SX Class for Chad Reed’s Discount Tire/TwoTwo Motorsports team in select East Region rounds during his midseason break from competition. Reed suffered three broken bones in a last-lap crash in San Diego on February 8 and after attempting to give it a go last weekend in Dallas, was forced to sit out at least for the remainder of the Monster Energy Supercross season.

Sebastian Vettel remains confident that the Red Bull RB10 will improve despite the ongoing problems for his team in Bahrain today.

Vettel stopped on circuit after a problem with the rear brakes locked and a minor fire ensued as the car was so hot. The team insisted that issues had been address since Jerez, and that a new problem cropped up today.

Mercedes says that the opening day of the Bahrain test was a good one for the team, despite brake by wire issues – related to the energy recovery system – ending the day early.

Lewis Hamilton set the third fastest lap of the day, although he stressed that the times are not important at this stage.
