MotoGP: Tires wear a hot topic entering this weekend’s Argentine GP

Argentina is the next stop for the 2014 MotoGP™ World Championship as the revamped Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo hosts round three of the season.

The 4.8km circuit is characterized by numerous fast, long-radius corners that are expected to result in one of the highest average speeds of the year. High speeds, hard braking zones and high camber angles of some corners results in this circuit being one of the more demanding for tires.

Former world champion Mika Hakkinen has criticized Sebastian Vettel for ignoring team orders.

Although Red Bull and the German driver have claimed Vettel ultimately decided to let teammate Daniel Ricciardo past in China, initially he answered “tough luck” when the radio call came.

Marquez, 21, is zooming towards becoming the next…. well, the next Marc Marquez.

Already MotoGP’s youngest ever world champion – a crown he took from American ace Freddie Spencer – Marquez continues to attack the benchmarks set by the greats of bike racing.

Felix Baumgartner, renown for his 22-mile jump from the stratosphere in October 2012, will be behind the wheel of an Audi R8 LMS ultra in the Nurburgring 24 Hours this June.

Sharing the ride with Frank Biela, Marco Werner and Pierre Kaffer, Baumgartner will help the team compete at the demanding German circuit affectionately referred to as “The Green Hell.”
