TROY, Ala. (AP) Jordon Varnado scored 19 points and Troy raced past Point University 114-52 on Wednesday night.

DeVon Walker and Wesley Person each added 15 points with Jeremy Hollimon scoring 10 points with seven assists and Shawn Hopkins collecting 10 rebounds with 11 points for his first double-double this season.

The Trojans scored the first seven points and took off from there. Runs of 16-0 and 15-0 left them ahead by 42 with 5:52 still left in the first half on their way to a 69-26 lead at the break. Troy shot 58.3 percent, made 10 of 25 from the arc and had a 56-35 rebounding advantage.

Troy's point total was its second-highest this season. The Trojans beat Toccoa Falls in their opener 135-76. Troy (6-4) has won four its last five games.

The Skyhawks, an NAIA team playing the game as an exhibition, were led by C.J. Wilcox with 17 points.
