Fedora: North Carolina QB Marquise Williams will be ready for this fall

The Tar Heels were without their star quarterback for the entire spring, after Marquise Williams was sidelined by hip surgery.

However, North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora promised Williams would be fully healthy and back in action by the fall, according to Brett Friedlander of the Star News Online

"Marquise is our starting quarterback," Fedora said in a teleconference, via Friedlander. "I’m looking forward to watching (all the quarterbacks) compete in fall camp, I anticipate Marquise taking that first snap against South Carolina and getting after it."

Williams generated the majority of Carolina's offense last season, throwing for over 3,000 yards and leading the team in rushing with 788 yards. He threw 21 touchdown passes, ran for 13 more and even found the end zone once as a receiver.
