Michigan picked up another south Florida prospect for its 2016 recruiting class Friday with the verbal commitment of three-star safety Devin Gil of Pembroke Pines Flanagan High School.

Gil is the 11th-ranked player at his position in Florida according to Scout.com and the fourth player from the Sunshine State to choose the Wolverines this year. He joins high school teammate Josh Metellus, an unranked safety prospect, Cooper City two-star defensive end Rashad Weaver and Delray Beach Atlantic unrated cornerback Antwaine Richardson.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh now has 17 players for his 2016 recruiting class, including 11 who have committed in June.
