Sean White to remain starting QB for Auburn against San Jose State

Jeremy Johnson will remain on the Auburn sideline when the Tigers host San Jose State this week as head coach Gus Malzahn plans to stick with Sean White as his starting quarterback.

"I felt like he gave the offense a spark," Malzahn said. "Sean will start this week, he's earned that (right to start). There are a lot of things he can build upon. I think he'll get nothing but better."

White had a respectable performance in his first start for Auburn against Mississippi State, as he completed 20 of 28 passes for 188 yards and added 29 rushing yards. White's biggest mistake was throwing an interception at the goal line early in the game, which shifted momentum to the Bulldogs.
