● (10:32 a.m. ET): The Baltimore Orioles are closing in on a deal for Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Gerardo Parra. The deal is expected to be Parra for right-hander Zach Davies, straight up, FOX Sports Insider Ken Rosenthal reports.
● (9:54 a.m. ET): The New York Yankees are one of five teams aggressively pursuing the Cincinnati Reds’ Chapman to be their closer, USA Today reports.

● (12:25 a.m. ET): The San Francisco Giants, whose recent surge has them neck-and-neck with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the race for the NL West crown, have acquired Reds starting pitcher Mike Leake for a pair of prospects: pitcher Kuery Mella, who some view as the best pitching prospect in the Giants' system, and infielder Adam Duvall. THURSDAY
● (9:35 p.m. ET): The Arizona Diamondbacks continue to negotiate with the Cincinnati Reds in an effort to obtain closer Aroldis Chapman. Talks are expected to go on into Friday, according to FOX Sports MLB Insider Jon Paul Morosi, but the Diamondbacks reportedly have made an offer.
● (7:41 p.m. ET): Carlos Gomez is on the move after all. The Brewers shipped the outfielder and right-hander Mike Fiers to the Astros, our Ken Rosenthal confirmed.
● (5 p.m. ET): According to reports, the Pirates are very close to acquiring Tigers reliever Joakim Soria. Teams are reviewing medicals according to Ken Rosenthal. UPDATE (7:29 p.m. ET): It's a done deal.
● (5 p.m. ET): The Chicago White Sox are aggressively looking for a bat according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today. They're checking in with everybody and reportedly honing in on Tigers' Yoenis Cespedes and Padres' Justin Upton reports Jon Heyman fo CBS Sports.
● (4:41 p.m. ET): The New York Yankees have acquired outfielder Dustin Ackley from the Seattle Mariners, as first reported by the YES Network. Full story

● (11:59 a.m. ET): An executive involved in bidding for David Price believes the Blue Jays might be close to landing the Detroit Tigers left-hander, FOX Sports Insider Ken Rosenthal reports. UPDATE (12:32 p.m. ET): FOX Sports Insider Jon Morosi confirms Toronto and Detroit are close to a deal.
● (10:57 a.m. ET): The Texas Rangers still are talking to other clubs after reaching a deal to acquire left-hander Cole Hamels from the Philadelphia Phillies, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. The Toronto Blue Jays have interest in Rangers right-hander Yovani Gallardo, and Gallardo has told Texas he would waive his limited no-trade protection and accept deal to Toronto, according to the report.
● (10:19 a.m. ET): The proposed three-way deal among the Marlins, Braves and Dodgers remains on hold, so Mat Latos and Mike Morse plan to be in uniform for Miami this afternoon, FOX Sports Insider Ken Rosenthal reports.
● (9:02 a.m. ET): The St. Louis Cardinals have acquired outfielder Brandon Moss from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for minor-league left-hander Rob Kaminsky, the St. Louis Post Dispatch and SB Nation's Chris Cotillo first reported Thursday. Full story
● (1 a.m. ET): After a wild Wednesday night, Thursday began with a far more minor deal, as the Pittsburgh Pirates acquired starting pitcher Joe Blanton from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for cash considerations.
● (12:13 a.m. ET): Shortly after midnight, the first note that moved across was actually a continuation — and a clarification — on the late-night Mets-Brewers debacle. The true reason for the deal's breakdown wasn't concerns over Mets pitcher Zack Wheeler's elbow, but rather Carlos Gomez's hip, FOX Sports MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal learned.

What's more, Scott Boras, Gomez's agent, told Rosenthal his client has never seen a doctor for a hip injury, let alone suffered an injury.
WEDNESDAY
● (11:10 p.m. ET): A bizarre night in New York has culminated in Mets GM Sandy Alderson saying “The deal has not and will not transpire.” The deal to which he is referring is one that would have sent Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez to New York in exchange for infielder Wilmer Flores and pitcher Zack Wheeler. During Wednesday night’s Mets game, Flores was weeping on the field, while playing, after learning of the reported deal. Because he was never traded, he was never pulled from the game. Nonetheless, Mets fans went off on Twitter. The Brewers’ apparent hold-up was, according to FOX Sports MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal, their concerns over Wheeler’s elbow, which underwent Tommy John surgery in March.
● (10:40 p.m. ET): MLB.com's TR Sullivan has tweeted that the deal sending Cole Hamels to the Texas Rangers for a haul of prospects "is done." According to FOX Sports MLB Insider Jon Paul Morosi, the Rangers will also get pitcher Jake Diekman and the Phillies will receive six players: major-league pitcher Matt Harrison; minor leaguers Alec Asher (pitcher), Jerad Eickhoff (pitcher), Jorge Alfaro (catcher) and Nick Williams (outfielder); and a player to be named.
(10:20 p.m. ET): FOX Sports MLB Insider Jon Paul Morosi reports that the Rangers will send the Phillies outfield prospect Nick Williams and at least one more player to go along with the aforementioned prospects of Jerad Eickhoff and Jorge Alfaro in exchange for Cole Hamels.
(10:10 p.m. ET): According to ESPN's Jayson Stark and MLB.com's TR Sullivan, the Phillies are close to finally parting ways with Cole Hamels, with the Texas Rangers the destination. Ken Rosenthal confirmed a deal between the teams is close, and Sullivan is reporting the Rangers will include pitching prospect Jerad Eickhoff and catching prospect Jorge Alfaro in the deal.
● (9:30 p.m. ET): According to multiple reports, the Mets and Brewers are close on a deal which would send slugger Carlos Gomez from Milwaukee to New York. According to the New York Post's Joel Sherman the Mets would send the Brewers pitcher Zack Wheeler and shortstop Wilmer Flores in return.
● (8:53 p.m. ET): The daylong rumored trade between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Miami Marlins is still not a go, but it does appear it is getting close. According to reports, the deal that would have sent pitcher Mat Latos and infielder Mike Morse to the Dodgers for a package of minor leaguers now involves a third team. Ken Rosenthal reports that third team is the Braves, and that the Dodgers would get Alex Wood and Jim Johnson from Atlanta in the deal. Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that Morse would now be going to Atlanta in the trade, and that the Braves would also receive Cuban infielder Hector Olivera from the Dodgers. Rosenthal had earlier reported that Latos and Morse would be in uniform for the Marlins tonight, despite the fact Latos had been told he was going to the Dodgers. There were hold ups over medicals according to Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times.
● (3:34 p.m. ET): The Detroit Tigers have told teams they are “rebooting” and will listen to offers for left-hander David Price, left fielder Yoenis Cespedes and others, ESPN reports. FOX Sports Insider Jon Morosi confirms that report. Full story
● (11:36 a.m. ET): The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired right-hander Mat Latos and infielder Mike Morse from the Miami Marlins in exchange for a package of minor leaguers, as first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times. Full story UPDATE (3:34 p.m. ET): There could be a third team in the deal, according to multiple reports. UPDATE (5:23 p.m. ET): The Miami Herald reports the entire deal could be falling apart. ● (11:25 a.m. ET): Rival teams say the Padres are about to get "super-active" and think they're positioning themselves to make a "huge deal," ESPN reports.
TUESDAY
● (6:40 p.m. ET): The Los Angeles Angels reportedly acquire Indians OF David Murphy in exchange for Double-A SS Eric Stamets, and in a separate deal acquire Rays OF David DeJesus in exchange for rookie-league RHP Eduar Lopez according to Mike DiGiovanna of the L.A. Times. Full Story.
● (6:28 p.m. ET): The Washington Nationals have completed a deal for Philadelphia Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon. Full Story.

● (10:58 a.m. ET): The San Francisco Giants are making a strong push for left-hander Cole Hamels, but the Philadelphia Phillies question whether the Giants have enough to offer, according to FOX Sports Insider Ken Rosenthal. The Rangers and Dodgers are still strong suitors for Hamels, and Rosenthal reports top Phillies scout Charley Kerfeld was watching the Rangers’ Double-A affiliate Monday night.
● (12:36 a.m. ET): The Toronto Blue Jays acquired five-time All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and 42-year-old right-handed reliever LaTroy Hawkins for four-time All-Star shortstop Jose Reyes and three minor leaguers, sources told FOX Sports MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal. UPDATE (2:16 a.m. ET): Two of the minor leaguers heading to Colorado have been named and are right-handers: Triple-A reliever Miguel Castro, a 20-year-old who pitched in 13 major-league games early in the season, and 22-year-old starter Jeff Hoffman, who was called up to Double-A New Hampshire this month. In addition, Ken Rosenthal updates the names that could be involved as a return package if Hamels lands with the Rangers: C Jorge Alfaro, RHP Chi Chi Gonzalez, OF Nick Williams, RHP Luis Ortiz, OF Lewis Brinson. Texas will not move Nomar Mazara.
● (7:28 p.m. ET): Blue Jays are strongest suitor for Samardzija says Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago. Though the Giants have also inquired.
● (6:26 p.m. ET): Cubs have discussed deal that would send SS Starlin Castro to Padres sources tell Jon Morosi and Ken Rosenthal. Cubs have inquired about starting pitching in return and also have interest in OF Will Veneble.
● (6:15 p.m. ET): Mets acquire RHP Tyler Clippard from A's for minor-league righty Casey Meisner. Mets also receive cash in the deal. Full story
● (6:00 p.m. ET): The Angels acquire OF Shane Victorino from Red Sox for INF Josh Rutledge. Red Sox also send cash in the deal. Full story
● (4:49 p.m. ET): ESPN's Jayson Stark reports that the Padres have discussed a deal that would send Justin Upton to the Orioles. Which signals that the Orioles will indeed be buyers at the deadline. GM Dan Duquette confirmed that notion by saying the team is trying to improve for this year in comments reported by Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun.
● (12:09 p.m. ET): A deal is expected soon for A's closer Tyler Clippard. Ken Rosenthal reports that the Mets are making progress on a deal, but other teams are still in play.
● (11:45 a.m. ET): Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez is a hot commodity right now drawing interest from all over the league. FOX Sports MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal reported that the Rangers, Indians, Giants, and Astros have all shown interest in the 29-year-old. The Rangers and Indians could desperately use better production from the center-field slot. The Giants and Astros aren't as good of fits due to the Giants' lack of tradeable prospects and the Astros' focus on bolstering their bullpen.
● (10:55 a.m. ET): The Royals have interest in Martin Prado and Ben Zobrist. Two versatile players that could fill in seemingly all over the diamond. With Alex Gordon on the DL and Omar Infante struggling offensively, either one of the two would be a nice upgrade for Kansas City. Andy McCullough of the Kansas City Star had Zobrist news, and Jon Morosi of FOX had scoop on Prado.
● (10:43 a.m. ET): As reported by Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Nationals, Blue Jays, and Astros are three of the teams that have expressed interest in Padres closer Craig Kimbrel.
● (9:58 a.m. ET): Cardinals have talked with Brewers about a deal for 1B Adam Lind. According to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis post-Dispatch, the Brewers are willing to part with their starting first baseman. After the Cardinals lost Matt Adams for the season, they've had a hole to fill at first. With an appealing short-term contract, Lind could be their man.
SUNDAY
● (4:01 p.m. ET): Jon Paul Morosi reports that the Dodgers view Rangers pitcher Yovani Gallardo as a backup plan if the team can't land Hamels or Tigers' David Price.
● (3:03 p.m. ET): Joel Sherman says that the Yankees are interested in all big starting pitchers but are not interested in moving top prospects or taking on big money for Phillies' Hamels.
● (2:56 p.m. ET): Royals and Reds complete trade. Reds send Johnny Cueto and cash considerations to Royals for left-handers Brandon Finnegan, John Lamb, and Cody Reed.
● (11:39 a.m. ET): The Royals appear to have worked it out with the Reds to rekindle a trade for ace Johnny Cueto, according to a source. - Ken Rosenthal

● (4:43 p.m. ET): The New York Mets are considering the Oakland A’s’ Ben Zobrist, the San Diego Padres’ Justin Upton and Cincinnati Reds’ Jay Bruce, and made a run at the Colorado Rockies’ Troy Tulowitzki, Ken Rosenthal writes.
● (12:40 p.m. ET): Los Angeles Dodgers officials have told right fielder Yasiel Puig that he won’t be traded, CBS Sports reports. Full story
● (10:38 a.m. ET): The Texas Rangers are back in the hunt for Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Cole Hamels, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. And the addition of Hamels would be just as important for the 2016 season (and beyond) as this season. Full story

● (7:19 p.m. ET): The New York Mets worked out a deal with the rival Atlanta Braves to land two veteran bats: infielders Juan Uribe and Kelly Johnson. Full story
● (5:26 p.m. ET): Cleveland Indians general manager Chris Antonetti says he has "no motivation" to trade any young starting pitchers, The Associated Press reports.
