Nationals' Strasburg to make second rehab start Monday at Triple-A

Washington Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg makes his second - and possibly final - rehab start Monday at Triple-A Syracuse.

Strasburg, who has been sidelined since July 4 due to a strained left oblique, is expected to throw between 85 and 90 pitches. Barring a setback, his next outing is expected to come with the Nationals.

The former No. 1 overall draft pick allowed three runs over four innings in his first rehab start for Syracuse on Wednesday, striking out five and walking one in his 64-pitch stint.

Strasburg, who already spent nearly a month on the 15-day disabled list earlier in the season with a neck issue, won back-to-back starts in impressive fashion before he was hurt in his third outing after coming off the DL.
