Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado has been on a tear lately. After a couple of hits on Sunday (both home runs), he now has a 15-game hitting streak. He’s hitting .404 with an OPS of 1.492 over the past two weeks.

Arenado has been even better over the last week, earning him NL Player of the Week honors. He’s had a multi-homer game in three of his past six games. According to MLB.com, Arenado currently has a streak of seven games with at least one hit, one RBI and one run scored. Only Miguel Cabrera has accomplished that over the last five years.

Coming into Monday, Arenado leads all major-leaguers with 68 RBIs and is third with 24 home runs. Despite his individual accomplishments on Sunday, Arenado was focused on the team’s result at the end of the game. Per MLB.com:

"It's all about winning. I hit two homers today but I can't really enjoy it because we lost. I'm thankful I had a good game today, but we lost, and the big picture is winning games.”

Despite Arenado’s numbers, he is still only ranked fourth in All-Star voting among NL third baseman per the latest update released on Monday.
