Watch: Altuve sacrifices his pants for a triple

The Houston Astros' 6-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Monday was a big one, as it brought Houston to within one game of the first-place Texas Rangers in the AL West.

The Astros' hitters took advantage of Jered Weaver's lack of velocity and iffy 'stuff' on the night, and one of the key offensive contributors was (surprise, surprise) Jose Altuve.

In one at-bat, Altuve picked up hit, lowered his head and ran all the way to third base for a triple...before realizing that he tore a hole in the seat of his pants:

It's hard to blame him for the wardrobe malfunction, considering a pair of pants is arguably a more than fair trade for a three-bagger in a big divisional showdown game.
