Cubs pitcher Jon Lester got his first career hit on July 6, 2015 and it was a great day for everyone. Sure, it took him 10 seasons and 67 at-bats -- a major-league record for most at-bats without a hit -- but he wouldn't go nearly as long before getting his second career hit.

65 days to be exact.

During Wednesday's Cubs-Cardinals matchup, Lester picked up his second career hit, a hard-hit single to left off of Carlos Martinez.

Lester's effort got quite a reaction out of his teammates in the dugout, who celebrated with the Cubs head rub. Even the home crowd at Busch Stadium applauded Lester's effort.
