Watch George Springer make an insane grab to rob Jose Abreu of a HR

George Springer hits his fair share of homers, and now the Houston Astros right fielder is taking them away.

Springer went up and over the outfield wall in the bottom of the first inning Thursday to rob Chicago White Sox slugger Jose Abreu of a homer. It wasn't the prettiest of approaches — Springer actually got turned around just before the wall — but the actual catch was a thing of beauty.

That landing looked painful, though.

Robbing the homer wasn't enough to steal a win against Chris Sale, however, as the White Sox held on for a 2-1 win over the Astros Thursday at U.S. Cellular Field. And Sale improved to 9-0.
