F1: Three wins in a row makes Rosberg a happy man

A delighted Nico Rosberg made it three wins in the last three races of 2015, as he ensured the momentum stayed with him heading into the offseason.

Rosberg, who has also taken pole in each of the last six races, was dominant for most of the race, although he came under threat from Lewis Hamilton when he suffered from tire graining in the middle stint. However, he had enough pace to leave the World Champion trailing in the final stint.

"I'm ecstatic with the way it went, because we really master-managed it," Rosberg said. "I controlled the pace through the race and managed my tires and used them optimally and pushed all the way through to the end, so had good pace there with tires that's for sure - and had a lot more laps on them than Lewis - so very pleased with that.

"It's always tough to race Lewis, he's doing an awesome job and he's one of the best out there, so an even better feeling to win - definitely against such opposition. It's a great battle internally all the time.

Regarding next season, Rosberg wanted to focus more on the moment of winning his 14th career race.

"At the moment, I'm just enjoying now - enjoying the wins. I'm going to party tonight. I'm enjoying the fun - enjoying that I progressed also a lot in the end of the season. I can't tell you about next year unfortunately, but I'll give it everything.

Although Rosberg wanted to keep the focus off next season immediately after his win in Abu Dhabi, he is very optimistic for 2016.

"I'm sure the team is going to give us an awesome car again," Rosberg added. "Of course, we're aware of the threat from the red guys and we don't them to come too close. We'll give it everything over the winter. I'll try to keep it going, the current form, starting next year."
