At 7:00 Eastern Time, the Indiana Pacers will have their first nationally televised game of the year as they take on the Miami Heat in Miami.

The Indiana Pacers are back!

On national television.

Indiana’s first game in front of a national audience matches them against the Miami Heat at 7 p.m. on ESPN with Mike Breen and Mark Jackson on the call. You can also watch the game on Fox Sports Indiana.

It is intriguing to hear about what the televised commentators think about the Indiana Pacers. especially this season. After all the moves that the Pacers made over the summer many critics picked the Pacers as the second-best team in the Eastern Conference, including Colin Cowherd of The Herd.

The 16 nationally televised games this season is up from 11 from the year before, but Indiana did lose one TNT game after their matchup against the Boston Celtics was replaced with the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat.

The Indiana Pacers will have 10 nationally televised games this season, not counting the six broadcasts by NBA TV. The games, not including tonight in Miami, are listed below.

• Pacers at Lakers (ESPN)

• Knicks at Pacers (TNT)

• Pacers at Wizards (ESPN)

• Spurs at Pacers (TNT)

• Pacers at Cavaliers (ESPN)

• Pacers at Hornets (TNT)

• Pistons at Pacers (ESPN)

• Pacers at Raptors (ESPN)

• Hawks at Pacers (ESPN)

Of these listed games, the Pacers-Raptors is the one I’m most excited for. The Raptors, of course, eliminated the Pacers in the first round of the 2016 Playoffs.

The Pacers will be without Monta Ellis again tonight and for the entire three-game road trip. Glenn Robinson III is likely to start again in his place. Glenn scored 3 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and blocked 3 shots in his last start against the Charlotte Hornets.

Everyone else is healthy and ready to go.
