Andy Dalton's prime-time struggles continue, even in preseason
Andy Dalton's struggles in nationally-televised games lived on in the preseason Monday night with two interceptions in the Bengals' 25-11 loss in Tampa Bay.
Dalton's pair of interceptions came in a span of 1:53 early in the second quarter, the first returned 24 yards for an interception by Alterraun Verner. To be fair, the pick six was entirely A.J. Green's fault as Dalton's perfectly thrown pass went off the receiver's hands into the waiting arms of Verner.

The second miscue was all Dalton, however, as he attempted a floater down the seam to tight end Tyler Eifert between three defenders. Dalton's throw was well over Eifert's head and picked off by Bradley McDougald.

Dalton finished 6-of-13 for 46 yards while also taking three sacks before giving way to AJ McCarron after halftime. McCarron, who was appearing in a Bengals uniform for the first time after sitting out his entire rookie season, completed 11-of-15 passes for 97 yards. He led an 80-yard scoring drive midway through the fourth quarter, punctuated by James Wilder Jr.'s 5-yard touchdown run.
