Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd to test left hand in practice

Published Sep. 8, 2015 5:56 p.m. ET

It's been a little over a month since Michael Floyd fractured three fingers on his left hand.

Now he's in line to practice and test that hand to catch passes coming at full speed.

“I don’t think the hardness of it is going to affect it,” Floyd said, via ESPN. “It’s about balance out there, getting a hit on (it) and moving your hands.”

Could Floyd suit up for Week 1 less than a week away?

How he reacts to Wednesday's practice could go a long way in determining that.

But with Larry Fitzgerald, Floyd, John Brown and rookie J.J. Nelson at Carson Palmer's disposal, the Cardinals wide receiving corps could be one of the deepest units in 2015.
